In-Person or Online Workshops

Whether in person or online, our Response-Based Practice workshops offer interactive, skill-building learning experiences designed to deepen your understanding and application of response-based approaches.

In-Person or Online Workshops

We work with a wide variety of organizations and communities who are concerned about violence (broadly defined). We offer Response-based training, both in-person and online. These workshops have been developed to reflect the specific context of the organization/community and can ideally be delivered over a period of time to build relationship, address questions as they arise, and talk about the application of Response-based ideas in unique practice settings. If you would like to discuss further, or schedule a workshop, please complete the form below.

Our Aim for All Training Participants

Our aim is to support participants across all trainings to develop deeper understanding, stronger practice, and greater confidence when working with children, young people, and families affected by violence. Through engagement, reflection, and shared learning, participants are supported to:

Engage in content on the topic of working for children, youth and families who have experienced violence or harmed others. Many professionals report that violence (broadly defined) is the single biggest issue of concern in their work.
Expand their range of helpful responses to victims and perpetrators when violence is at issue.
Increase practice confidence through the relationships formed with children, their families, and the outcomes achieved.
Continue to reflect upon the various responses to disclosures from victims of violence, including children of all ages. This includes making meaning of what they say, their choice of language, to whom they disclose, and what they choose to tell.
Explore and enhance dignity-informed practice across contexts, and how to implement these ideas in practice, policies and procedures that serve children and families.

This training is relevant to all professionals who work with children, youth and their families on the topic of violence (broadly defined) and other forms of adversity.
