Conference Presentations

Dive into a curated collection of Response-Based Practice talks, workshop sessions, and keynote insights delivered by our team at events across diverse practice settings.

Training, Workshops & Conference Presentations

Members of the Centre for Response-Based Practice regularly present at conferences, gatherings, and professional events internationally. These sessions introduce Response-Based ideas, share insights from practice and research, and invite dialogue with professionals working in situations of violence and adversity.

Our team delivers keynote presentations, workshops, and facilitated sessions tailored to the needs of the hosting organization or event. Presentations may focus on the foundations of Response-Based Practice or on its application in specific professional contexts.

Over the years, we have presented within a wide range of settings, including:

  • Child protection
  • Counselling, therapy, and family services
  • Women’s shelters and victim services
  • Indigenous organizations and communities
  • Police services, judges, and other legal professionals

These presentations create space for practitioners to explore accurate language, ethical responses, and practical ways of strengthening dignity and accountability in their work.

Inviting a Speaker

If you are organizing a conference or professional gathering and would like to invite a Response-Based Practice speaker, we would be pleased to hear from you. Our team also hosts occasional conferences and training events, both online and in person. To inquire about booking a presentation or to be notified of upcoming events, please contact us.

Dr. Cathy Richardson

"Response-Based practice is one of the most elegant, hopeful, generative, and respectful approaches that I have been privileged to come to know over a long number of years. I remember the gasp of wonder when I heard Allan Wade present his work for the first time. It was so simple yet so profound.

I say this not only as a professional who has been able to pass on this knowledge with clients but also as someone who has benefited first-hand in my own recovery from a traumatic attack that I subsequently wrote about.”
